About The Mind Body Spirit Coach

About Catherine

I’ve lived inside the cycle of weight loss and regain for most of my life. I know what it’s like to try again, to hope this time will be different, and to quietly carry the fear that it won’t be.


This time was different. I experienced substantial weight loss, 75 lbs, and something unexpected happened. I didn’t see the person in the mirror that the scale said I should see. The numbers changed, but my internal picture of myself didn’t immediately follow. That disconnect created a kind of cognitive dissonance I hadn’t anticipated.


I had to relearn simple things. How to plan a vacation without centering it around food. How to respond when people started commenting on my body. Why losing 20 pounds felt invisible, but losing 30 suddenly made me "too seen."  I began to realize that I didn’t just need to manage my weight,  I needed to understand who I was if I wasn’t the “fat jolly girl.”


That question changed everything.


Along the way, I gathered tools to help me navigate change more intentionally. I became a 500-hour certified Ayurvedic Yoga teacher and an ICF-certified coach. Those trainings didn’t give me a magic answer, and they didn’t make me immune to struggle. They gave me language for what I was experiencing. They gave me frameworks for observing patterns, understanding how habits form, and staying present when change felt threatening.


In addition to my lived experience, I bring decades of professional leadership and coaching experience to this work. I hold a PhD and have spent much of my career leading large teams and coaching executive and senior leaders through complex change. Supporting people as they navigate transition, whether in organizations or in their own lives,  has been a consistent thread throughout my career. This work is deeply personal, but it is also grounded in experience, structure, and thoughtful inquiry. 


I’ve learned that transformation isn’t just physical. When the body changes, identity, routines, and relationships shift too. Without space to integrate those changes, it’s easy to feel unsteady — even when you’ve achieved what you set out to do.


That’s why I do this work.


I create a steady, structured coaching space for women navigating weight loss, hormonal shifts, or other significant body-based transitions. Not to fix you. Not to prescribe a plan. But to help you integrate change with clarity, confidence, and self-trust.


Because feeling at home in your body is about more than the number on the scale.
